NEW DELHI: As the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams will start from February 17, 2026, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) as well has come out with a list of important advisories and procedural details for students, parents and school authorities to ensure seamless arrangements for the big academic event. The board has also published the admit cards and detailed examination instructions on its official website.
In a consolidated set of instructions issued to prevent last-minute hick-ups, CBSE has asked schools and candidates to ensure that candidate details have been uploaded correctly and that the examination rules will be followed in letter and spirit. It is also necessary to report to the schools for collection of admit cards (needed during entry into exam halls) and check if all details are correct.

Board examinations for both the secondary (Class 10) and senior secondary (Class 12) streams will begin from February 17 and tight regulation would be enforced during seating, document verification and identification of candidate. Students can enter the exam centre only when they have their admit card along with an ID proof.
CBSE Exam Safety and Paper Security Measures
As the exams approach, officials have taken increased actions aimed at curbing malpractice and misinformation. State cybercrime units and board officials had cautioned students and parents about fake question papers doing the rounds on social media, asking them not to trust or refer any other material available except that provided by the boards.
CBSE’s recent communication highlights that it is essential to have a process which is transparent and fair for exam administration. Potential candidates are encouraged not to fall victim to false promises or leaked content, but instead submit suspect materials to authorities. In the meantime, the examination centres have been directed to maintain strict invigilation and follow guidelines laid down by the department for protecting the sanctity of examinations.
Special Support and Government Outreach
Apart from procedural advice, the government’s Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 programme, spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, offered motivational guidance as well as practical tips to students ahead of their board exams. The yearly outreach program focuses on stress management, study skills, and self esteem in the various learning communities.
There is a shared desire for students and teachers to balance revision with their own well-being, and to enter the exams–which begin on Monday—the fruition of two years of learning, hard work and dedication, with calm mindset. Schools are also required to contribute in terms of transportation, administration on the day of the test to minimize inconvenience for examinees.
